What is Formal Recruitment?
Formal Recruitment is a values-based process that allows students to explore the Panhellenic community and find the chapter that feels like home. At the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, 11 of our 13 Panhellenic chapters participate in Formal Recruitment, allowing Potential New Members (PNMs) to meet members, learn about each chapter's values and sisterhood, discover their philanthropic efforts, and build meaningful connections throughout the week.
Recruitment consists of four rounds: Panhellenic Round, Values Round & House Tours, Philanthropy Round, and Preference Round, followed by Bid Day, where PNMs receive their bids and celebrate becoming members of their new chapter. Each round offers a deeper look into chapter life, helping students make an informed decision while discovering the friendships, opportunities, and sense of belonging that make the Panhellenic community so special.
